Erin Hicks was born in New York City and grew up in Harlem. She began her love for hairstyling when she was a Junior in High School. She was offered a job working at the New York Shakespeare Festival on the off-Broadway play The Winter's Tale as a hair assistant. The play starred Alfre Woodard, Mandy Patikin, and Diane Venora. This required her to roller set, style and maintain wigs for various actors. She had no idea that this would be the start of a wonderful career. She continued onto other shows working with such talents as Gloria Foster, Helen Hunt, Don Cheadle and Morgan Freeman. By the time she left NYSF Erin was now the Supervisor of the hit Broadway show Bring In Da Noise/Bring In Da Funk.


Over the last twenty years Erin has worked on various Broadway, Film and Television shows such as Cyrano, Ragtime, Fosse, A Christmas Carol, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King, The Sopranos, NY Minute, Rescue Me, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, Law Abiding Citizen, The Lovely Bones, The Bounty Hunter, Gravity, Madea's Big Happy Family, Are We There Yet, Don't Trust the B* In Apt. 23, Elementary.


These are some of the films which she has held the position as Department Head The Architect, Ira & Abby, Shame, Can A Song Save Your Life, The Angriest Man In Brooklyn, An Awkward Moment, Black Nativity, The Cobbler. Erin had the great opportunity to style the hair of Keira Knightley, Mila Kunis, Carey Mulligan, Diahann Carroll, Angela Bassett, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Beharie, Telma Hopkins, Adam Sandler, Michael Fassbender, Zac Efron, Mos Def, Bill Bellamy to name a few.
